IWSC Silver 2019 Apples and Gin are the perfect cocktail – especially when you use the oldest Danish apple, which also comes from South Funen. Filippas have something that other apples do not, they are spicy, sweet and have a fresh acidity after harvest. These fresh apples are macerated in the distilled gin giving a velvet smooth and fresh apple flavoured gin. It can be enjoyed over ice or with elderflower tonic and a garnish of fresh apple or thyme. Try it as an aperitif with 1 part gin to 2 parts sparkling sweet asti or Prosecco and serve ice cold.
