Description This valve spring is manufactured in Germany from ASTM A877 chromium-silicon alloy steel valve spring wire. The inner and outer spring arrangement creates a valve spring that provides higher forces within a tightly-packaged space. The advantage of a twin spring is that the stiffness of the combined spring varies with length and, because each spring will have a different natural frequency, this helps to avoid surge (you can read more about valve spring technology in our blog post). These valve springs are suitable for the Cosworth BD-series engines.
